A Very Blogger Christmas // #APOVGiftSwap

It’s that time again. The frost starts piling up, the nights get darker, and Buble comes out of hiding to provide us with the sweet sweet sounds of Christmas…

Yes, I know we haven’d had Halloween yet. Yes, I know there’s still two months to go. Let me have this.

So, this year, as some may have noticed, I’ve started to try and network a bit more with this blog. Talk to other bloggers, join networks and start expanding my audience, rather than just being content with my boyfriend and my mum reading. So, I thought, what better way to do that and to make new friends than to join in on a Christmas Blogger Gift Swap?

This particular gift swap was created by A Piece of Viola in 2014, and is running again this year, for UK bloggers of all ages, styles and genres. It’s a great way for UK bloggers to meet other bloggers, expand their audience and make some awesome friends.

The way the swap works is that you can sign up using the sign-up sheet on Google Docs, and you’ll receive a confirmation email telling you that you’re joined. From then, you have five days to write a blog post about the swap, to involve as many other bloggers as possible, and then it’s just a waiting game! Until then, start using the #APOVGiftSwap on social media to grab more attention, and seeing others who are taking part!

Check out Viola’s original swap blog post for more detailed information, but don’t be put off by the thought of buying gifts! The budget for you and your partner’s swap can be as little or as large as you’d like, and as much as you can personally afford. It’s really not about the presents, its about the interaction, and making new friends with the same interests as yourself.

To be honest, I’m super excited about this opportunity to meet new people who are better bloggers than I, and to talk to them. I can’t wait to find out who my blogger pair is, and what they’re like, and I urge all you fellow bloggers out there, from fashionistas to foodies, to join in!

Now, I’m going to go back to making my Pop Punk Christmas playlist on Spotify and eating millions of roast dinners…

Til next time,

Jess
