During the summer of 2019, I took part in a work placement at my local cat cafe, which was nothing short of a dream! I loved spending every day with the twelve gorgeous rescue cats at Pause, and spreading their message of love and fur-iendship (see what I did there?) to their wonderful customers.
During my time at Pause, I was able to create social media and blog content to promote Pause’s messages. These tasks were such fun and I was able to be creative in the best way.
Some of the social media posts I created for Pause can be seen in this blog post, which also explains what a day in my life was while working at Pause.
And here I will link two blog posts I created for Pause during my time there:
For the second issue of Nerve Magazine 19/20, I wrote a feature about the 25th anniversary of the iconic American sit-com, Friends. It was about whether or not audiences now, in 2019, were able to look past some of the show’s more problematic storylines and jokes, and how the nostalgia factor fits into this.
My university’s student-run magazine, Nerve, published my first feature article in the first issue of the 19/20 academic year, and I could not have been more proud of it.
Using interviews with wonderful and successful women from across the Atlantic and closer to home, I was able to raise awareness for Body-Focused Repetitive Disorders, something that is very close to my heart, and I received many comments from readers about how they learned more about themselves, as well as about this group of disorders!
For a second-year university project, we had to create a blog and social media profile that centered on the digital impact on something of our choice. For my project, I chose to focus on the impact of digital technologies on fandom and fan culture. Continue reading “FANtasia Blog Project”

So, rather than clog up all of your news feeds and readers and what-have-you, I’m gonna shove some in one post, and to avoid too much confusion, I’m going to nominate around 10 people for both tags, and you guys can choose which one you do, if any! It’s completely up to you! But, for now, here are my tag answers… You know, if you wanted to know…Continue reading “The Blogger Recognition Award and The Liebster Award! // Tags”
