After two days of awful and shocking filler content that I wish I’d had time to perfect (or even proof-read), we’re back with the previously scheduled (ish) girly stuff that was promised! Read More »
(I was about to say “Happy Saturday everybody!!”, then I realised that it’s Friday, and just because I have a day off doesn’t mean it’s the weekend…. result!)
Happy Friday everybody, I hope you’re doing well. For today’s blogmas, I felt like carrying on with the beauty theme from yesterday, and I’m going to be showing you guys my every day Winter makeup look, because I myself am the nosiest person ever, and I thought you might enjoy it! So without too much waffling (but let’s be honest, there will be a bit, it’s me), I’ll get right into it!
First, I use Rimmel’s Stay Matte foundation in the shade 100 Ivory as my base (I did moisturise before this, don’t have a go), and use my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (yes, I’m on the bandwagon) to cover my dark under-eyes and any horrific spots or red patches. Then, I’ll set this with the matching Rimmel Stay Matte powder in the shade 100 Transparent (like see-through, not like the hit Amazon series).
With the base of my face (weyhey) done, I’m going onto brows. At the moment I’m loving my Makeup Revolution HD Pro Brows kit which I reviewed yesterday on the blog (here’s the post), and using a small and flat angled brush from a set I bought from eBay a while ago, I’m going to chuck on some brows (there’s an image).
Next, onto eyes. In an everyday look, I don’t tend to put shadow on, which is just because I’m lazy and haven’t mastered the art yet. But what I lack in eyeshadow, I make up for in a shit ton of liner. So using my Primark P.S pencil black eyeliner I line both my waterlines (top and bottom) and smudge it out a bit (the reason why I do this is in this post).
Then, onto liquid liner. I’m currently using up the last of this Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner in Black 1, but I’m not a huge fan of it. If anyone could recommend some cheap but cheerful liquid eyeliners to try, it’d be greatly appreciated! So using this, I’m gonna do a heck of a wing (just my style).
In an every day look as well, I don’t tend to go overboard on the face defining and contour, etc. So I’m going to be chucking on a bit of bronzer from this Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt and Contour Kit (which I featured in my Summer Favourites), just to add some warmth to my face.
Then adding some blush to my cheeks with my MakeUp Revolution (you’d think I was bloody paid by them or something.. I promise I’m not) Dream Blush Palette (also featured here) to add some colour.
As I said, for every day, I don’t go overboard, so I won’t add highlight or anything too extreme, but I do like to have a little lippy, and today I was using my MUA Intense Colour Lip Liner (yes, all over my lips) in the shade Caramel Nougat, for a nice nude addition to a bit of a plain look.
Here’s the finished look! (Apologies for the horrific quality)
And there you have it, my Everyday Winter Makeup Look for 2016. I hope it wasn’t too average and boring. I’m thinking of creating a Christmas Party/Christmas Day Makeup Look to follow on from this, if you want to see that, please let me know! Have a great weekend, guys, see you tomorrow!
Happy blogmas day 8 everyone! We’re officially over one week in, and I haven’t missed a post yet, it must be a bloody Christmas miracle!
Today, I’m going to be showing something I naughtily splurged on (ew) over Black Friday, and giving it a cheeky review! Read More »
It might be a bit early, but you know what? It’s NEVER too early for party fashion, and Christmas party fashion highly outweighs every other type of party fashion ever. It just does. And what better time to post this post than right after I’ve just been to the first Christmas party of the year?Read More »
So, as some of you may have noticed (the vast majority of you being Canadians, for some odd reason that I have yet to discover (if you are one of the Canadians who have been frequenting my blog as of late…. who are you? Also, why?) I have not posted in a very very long time. Like, weeks. Even though a couple of months ago, I promised to be posted at least twice a week, every week.Read More »
There’s one thing I haven’t actually mentioned much on this blog at all up until now, and I almost feel like I’ve committed some sort of crime by not mentioning this as a blogger (because it is like, law). And that is, that I love books.Read More »
It’s that time again. The frost starts piling up, the nights get darker, and Buble comes out of hiding to provide us with the sweet sweet sounds of Christmas…
Yes, I know we haven’d had Halloween yet. Yes, I know there’s still two months to go. Let me have this.
So, this year, as some may have noticed, I’ve started to try and network a bit more with this blog. Talk to other bloggers, join networks and start expanding my audience, rather than just being content with my boyfriend and my mum reading. So, I thought, what better way to do that and to make new friends than to join in on a Christmas Blogger Gift Swap?
This particular gift swap was created by A Piece of Viola in 2014, and is running again this year, for UK bloggers of all ages, styles and genres. It’s a great way for UK bloggers to meet other bloggers, expand their audience and make some awesome friends.
The way the swap works is that you can sign up using the sign-up sheet on Google Docs, and you’ll receive a confirmation email telling you that you’re joined. From then, you have five days to write a blog post about the swap, to involve as many other bloggers as possible, and then it’s just a waiting game! Until then, start using the #APOVGiftSwap on social media to grab more attention, and seeing others who are taking part!
Check out Viola’s original swap blog post for more detailed information, but don’t be put off by the thought of buying gifts! The budget for you and your partner’s swap can be as little or as large as you’d like, and as much as you can personally afford. It’s really not about the presents, its about the interaction, and making new friends with the same interests as yourself.
To be honest, I’m super excited about this opportunity to meet new people who are better bloggers than I, and to talk to them. I can’t wait to find out who my blogger pair is, and what they’re like, and I urge all you fellow bloggers out there, from fashionistas to foodies, to join in!
Now, I’m going to go back to making my Pop Punk Christmas playlist on Spotify and eating millions of roast dinners…
Til next time,
