As promised, in this post I will be talking about my employment working with the cosmetics company LUSH. I’ve spoken about it a lot, both on this blog and to other people (who are probably sick of me talking about it by now) but I wanted to put my whole experience into one place, and hopefully let others know (who may be considering working for this company in the future) how I found it and to help them. So here we go…
My last post was a little rant-y, and I didn’t mean it to be. If I came across as miserable and a downer on New Years, I apologize. Like I said, I really do get it, I understand it. So to backtrack and join the camaraderie, here’s a list of stuff I’d like to do or improve on in the next year. Some will be personal, some general, but maybe at the start of 2017 I can look back and say I’ve become a happier person. Let’s hope so!
I get new years resolutions. I really do. I get that everyone secretly makes them, and everyone pretty much fails them, unless they’re some sort of God or sorcerer or something. And it’s completely normal to make a goal and maybe not reach it, especially on January 1st.
There’s all this hype about New Years and beginning afresh.Continue reading “New Year, New “You Really Can’t Do This””
Hello again! I know, three posts in three days… try not to have a heart attack. I’m shocked too.
Anyways so, if you lot are like me at this time of year and 1) leave everything til the last minute, gift-wise and 2) never know what to get until sporadic and random moments of inspiration hit, which may or may not happen, then you might need some help.
Christmas is all about giving, they tell us. Bollocks. It’s about giving, sure, but it’s also about stressing yourself silly over things that people probably wont even take much notice of in the excitement of the big day.
So I’m here to calm your stressing heads with some little ideas for the lovely people in your life.Continue reading “Gift Guide 2015! // A Christmas Series”
Yes, it’s that time of year again. John Lewis is tugging at our heart strings, and the shops look like a war zone. It can only be Christmas.Continue reading “Ho, Ho, How Do I Do This? // A Christmas Series”
Hello and happy holidays! I’ve been AWOL for a while now from this little blog and I’d like to apologize (not that anyone really cares lol) for being away.
The last time I posted was at the start of November when I got my nose pierced. That’s healed up completely fine in the mean time, no problems whatsoever! (Except when it gets knocked and the stud pokes out… ouch). So no real problems to report there.
I’ve also in this time sent off my university applications (eeek!!).Continue reading “Updates: Noses, University and Christmas!”
I’m not one to make rash, rebellious decisions (usually).
However, last week, in a spur of the moment, I got my nose pierced. Well, I say spur of the moment, it was over the course of a few days deliberation. Which is pretty spur of the moment for me.Continue reading “My Nose Piercing Experience!”
As I explained in my last post (which you can read here!), I’ve had to keep myself busy over the past few months, in a number of ways. And this may be the most obvious and stupid blog post ever written but, here are numerous ways that I have learnt to keep myself doing something, and not having a mental breakdown! Enjoy!Continue reading “How to Keep Busy!”
It feels like for the longest time now, I’ve just not stopped?
Not in the way of ‘I’ve not slept in weeks’ or ‘I’ve been incredibly busy doing this huge personal project’ or anything massive like that. It just kind of feels like for a few months now, I haven’t really let myself think.
I don’t tend to be alone very much any more. I don’t tend to sit and do nothing much. I keep myself extremely busy. And there is a reason for this.Continue reading “Keeping Busy”
Am currently sat, wondering how on earth to start this blog post. I know what I want it to be about, and roughly what I should mention… but how to start?
How do I introduce to, possibly total strangers, what I struggle with on a daily basis? How do I accurately explain to those reading (admittedly, not many), something that I feel defines me so? Where do I even begin?
Maybe from the beginning? Might be an idea?
