Winter Night-time Routine // Blogmas Day 15
After two days of awful and shocking filler content that I wish I’d had time to perfect (or even proof-read), we’re back with the previously scheduled (ish) girly stuff that was promised! Continue reading “Winter Night-time Routine // Blogmas Day 15”
Going Through a Dry Patch // Blogmas Day 14
As it gets to about this time in the month of December, all the internet creators and publishers tend to get a bit… dried out. And not in the way of they can’t make any more content, but more in the sense that they are getting a bit tired. Continue reading “Going Through a Dry Patch // Blogmas Day 14”

Winter Weekend OOTD // Blogmas Day 11
To follow on from my last outfit of the day post from Autumn, I thought I’d make this a little seasonal tradition (that may one day turn into a look-book, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves shall we?). So without all the waffle (as per usual), here’s my Winter Outfit of the Day, with some nice winter-y woods-y walk photos (photography credit to Connor).
All links to items that I can find online will be at the bottom of the post! Enjoy!
For this casual weekend walk outfit, I went comfy as hell. Which is, to be honest, what I’m all about.
My coat, featured previously in my Autumn OOTD, is a Dorothy Perkins purchase, and has got me through many a cold winter morning!
This awesomely cuddly mint green jumper is from New Look, and I’ve been kind of obsessed with these. As in I already have two of the colours, and am planning on getting a third. They’re so cheap, so cheerful, and soo soft.
As for my bottom half (oo-er), my jeans are just some simple high wasted skinnies from Primark (where else?) And these have managed to last since about May, and still going strong, amazing for the price! Will definitely be finding some more of these for 2017…
The credit of my incredible Doc-Marten-style boots (but not) goes to Connor’s family, who bought me them last Christmas (and I’m afraid I have no idea where they’re from) but they’ve had so much wear, and still going strong into next year! They’re the perfect study walking boot, that also gives me the style of a Doc Marten (while also being so much more comfortable – in my opinion).
Accessories time…both coming from H&M, this gorgeous beige bobble hat (also featured in my last OOTD… sorry for the repetition… I don’t go shopping a lot) and my cool-as-hell black cat-eye sunglasses have been staples for me so far this winter, and I’m sure they’ll continue to be. Especially on lovely winter walks like this, where the sun was shining, but it was also bloody cold.
And there we have it, my Winter Weekend OOTD for 2016. Keep an eye out for some more outfit of the day posts in 2017 (hopefully with some more variety!). Hope you guys have all had a fantastic weekend, and I’ll see you tomorrow for blogmas day 12!

Tips on Learning to Drive // Blogmas Day 10

Everyday Winter Makeup Look // Blogmas Day 9
(I was about to say “Happy Saturday everybody!!”, then I realised that it’s Friday, and just because I have a day off doesn’t mean it’s the weekend…. result!)
Happy Friday everybody, I hope you’re doing well. For today’s blogmas, I felt like carrying on with the beauty theme from yesterday, and I’m going to be showing you guys my every day Winter makeup look, because I myself am the nosiest person ever, and I thought you might enjoy it! So without too much waffling (but let’s be honest, there will be a bit, it’s me), I’ll get right into it!
First, I use Rimmel’s Stay Matte foundation in the shade 100 Ivory as my base (I did moisturise before this, don’t have a go), and use my Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (yes, I’m on the bandwagon) to cover my dark under-eyes and any horrific spots or red patches. Then, I’ll set this with the matching Rimmel Stay Matte powder in the shade 100 Transparent (like see-through, not like the hit Amazon series).
With the base of my face (weyhey) done, I’m going onto brows. At the moment I’m loving my Makeup Revolution HD Pro Brows kit which I reviewed yesterday on the blog (here’s the post), and using a small and flat angled brush from a set I bought from eBay a while ago, I’m going to chuck on some brows (there’s an image).
Next, onto eyes. In an everyday look, I don’t tend to put shadow on, which is just because I’m lazy and haven’t mastered the art yet. But what I lack in eyeshadow, I make up for in a shit ton of liner. So using my Primark P.S pencil black eyeliner I line both my waterlines (top and bottom) and smudge it out a bit (the reason why I do this is in this post).
Then, onto liquid liner. I’m currently using up the last of this Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner in Black 1, but I’m not a huge fan of it. If anyone could recommend some cheap but cheerful liquid eyeliners to try, it’d be greatly appreciated! So using this, I’m gonna do a heck of a wing (just my style).
In an every day look as well, I don’t tend to go overboard on the face defining and contour, etc. So I’m going to be chucking on a bit of bronzer from this Makeup Revolution Ultra Sculpt and Contour Kit (which I featured in my Summer Favourites), just to add some warmth to my face.
Then adding some blush to my cheeks with my MakeUp Revolution (you’d think I was bloody paid by them or something.. I promise I’m not) Dream Blush Palette (also featured here) to add some colour.
As I said, for every day, I don’t go overboard, so I won’t add highlight or anything too extreme, but I do like to have a little lippy, and today I was using my MUA Intense Colour Lip Liner (yes, all over my lips) in the shade Caramel Nougat, for a nice nude addition to a bit of a plain look.
Here’s the finished look! (Apologies for the horrific quality)
And there you have it, my Everyday Winter Makeup Look for 2016. I hope it wasn’t too average and boring. I’m thinking of creating a Christmas Party/Christmas Day Makeup Look to follow on from this, if you want to see that, please let me know! Have a great weekend, guys, see you tomorrow!
