Hello 2017! // 2017 Goals

Following yesterday’s post all about the resolutions I set at the end of 2015 for the year ahead of me, and how I succeeded in those, I would like to start the new year off in exactly the same way as everyone else: with some resolutions.

Or I prefer to call them goals. Because resolutions just sounds far too much like you’re trying to change you. Which isn’t what I want, really. I want to still be me. Just… a bit better.

So, without the waffle, here are my goals for 2017…

1. Eat/Wear less animal products

Or just plainly, have less to do with the consumption of animals. I’m not going to Go Vegan on you all, but I can at least try my best to make some changes that might help me, and the environment at the same time. That means more Quorn, less McDonald’s.

2. Get into a fitness routine – whatever that may be

Swimming, running, yoga, whatever. Start doing things to help my body that will, in time, help my mind

3. Continue to read as much as possible

It’s been a great reading year, and I have tons of books lined up ready to kick off 2017 with, can’t waste them.

4. Put £100 every month into savings, and be more careful with money

I’m saving for travelling, adventures and moving out. Stop buying fast food and going to the shop for biscuits.

5. Finish my apprenticeship qualification

And pass in good time. Don’t let time or teachers bring you down.

6. Go in search for help with Trich

This may take years, but I need to start somewhere

7. Reach 100 WordPress followers on this blog

8. Reach 500 Twitter followers

9. Collaborate with brands and other bloggers,

Start getting this blog off it’s stabilisers and start exploring my options and my personal brand, alongside other bloggers, and maybe even some PR opportunities (if anyone wants to take me up on this, my email address is jallen7137@gmail.com!!)

10. Take a Pass Plus lesson, and drive somewhere far away

This links to an unexpected win from 2016 – passing my driving test! I am so proud to have been able to do this before 2016 came to a close, and my goal for the new year is to take up my driving instructor on an offer for a Pass Plus session, where she will take me onto a motorway. Once this hurdle is passed, I feel like I’ll be able to do anything, and I can’t wait to explore my home country (and maybe even others!) with Edna (my car).

And there you have it! My goals for the year ahead of us! Hopefully this time next year, I’ll be able to look back on these and tick every single one off, much like I did for 2016!

What are your goals for the new year? Let me know in the comments, or link me to your own blog posts so I can take a look!

Thanks for reading, guys. Happy new year.
